Neither have I ... and I'm an Electrical Power Engineer. All a.c. quantities are expressed as d.c. equivalents so not sure what Geoff is on about.... but there's no need to throw away your D.C. mutlimeters guys....

Point of my post was Geoff said " fuse is rated 7.5A and the pump is likely to demand more than that transiently" which might encourage some owners to change it to a higher rated fuse. (It crossed my mind...)

Highest current I saw was 4.2 amps so stick with 7.5 amp fuse in A3... (unless you've fitted a non-OE pump for any reason).

4 years ago the immobiliser broke which runs the fuel pump, before it broke the pump would run for 4 seconds, after 900 quid and them having her for 6 months it ran constantly, which I knew was not right but 6 months!!! Think I was had by alocal garage that did not have a clue and guessed at an answer so she would start, ie by pass this hard wire that, sorry mate I was had

Hey Clemo, I've just thought of something else.

After you've thrashed around the Devon lanes for 6 months in your JC S2, then laid it up for a few months to do all this work to bring it back to its former glory, bring it up to Duns, next year.

Chirnside and Duns was where Jimmy was bought up and, as you know, next year will be the 50th anniversary of his untimely death at Hockenheim. There will be a very special event held at the Duns museum organised by Club Lotus (Scotland) and Club Lotus. The new proposed museum might even be built with some of Jimmy's race cars in it

It will be a very special occasion and very fitting if your JC car, and any M100 for that matter, made the pilgrimage. You're welcome to stay at my gaff 30 miles away. JohnW did this a couple of years ago and we both enjoyed a thrash over the hills and twisty Border country lanes to Duns

Perhaps we could even get some of these other LEC M100 garage queens out of retirement

Not great ... but thanks for asking .
Lotus expert guy got sacked.
Progress is slow. Car has become a hospital job for what i can tell.
I was meant to go and get it last week but it now has a misfire ?.

Convertible Roof has not been fitted nor has the roof seals.
I should now be getting it Thursday .
Whilst the job so far has been very well done the time taken is a joke.

Hope you are all enjoying the nice sunny days. hope to be joining you next year !!.
