Always a sad sight to see the back of one when they leave.
Know how you feel right now.

Now that's a sad sight...

Sad? - yes and no really
I owned this car for 12 and a half years. I have not driven it on the road since December 2011 but had every intention of getting it back out there. I had so much fun in the first six years and many memorable trips and track days in it. But I always had the other one too and have had just as much fun in that - I won't be selling it ever! Then 4 years ago the itch to have an Evora had to be scratched, and that won't be sold whilst I still have the ability to get in and out of it. So the red one has sat patiently awaiting its new lease of life. Then along came Wayne (top-plumber over on TLF (thankfully he didn't call him self bottom-plumber

)) looking for a project car so that his lovely lady Michelle could fulfill a dream of owning and driving a red M100. They recently brought an Esprit back to life and made a superb job of it. Now they will do the same with the Elan. Just to see the grin on her face when they collected it yesterday was priceless, and I know the car will get all the love and attention that it deserves but wasn't getting from me. I hope they will make an appearance soon on here (some of you know them already) and be with us for a long time to come.
A couple more pictures of the car....

I'll look forward to 'plumber's mate' bringing it to the August pub meet then ... the rate at which they sorted the Esprit I'm sure that's doable ...

Leave me alone, I think I know what I'm doing.
