Sad? - yes and no really

I owned this car for 12 and a half years. I have not driven it on the road since December 2011 but had every intention of getting it back out there. I had so much fun in the first six years and many memorable trips and track days in it. But I always had the other one too and have had just as much fun in that - I won't be selling it ever! Then 4 years ago the itch to have an Evora had to be scratched, and that won't be sold whilst I still have the ability to get in and out of it. So the red one has sat patiently awaiting its new lease of life. Then along came Wayne (top-plumber over on TLF (thankfully he didn't call him self bottom-plumber )) looking for a project car so that his lovely lady Michelle could fulfill a dream of owning and driving a red M100. They recently brought an Esprit back to life and made a superb job of it. Now they will do the same with the Elan. Just to see the grin on her face when they collected it yesterday was priceless, and I know the car will get all the love and attention that it deserves but wasn't getting from me. I hope they will make an appearance soon on here (some of you know them already) and be with us for a long time to come.
