Took the car to the port yesterday for som administrative nause, 40C ain't a bowl of fun when the roof is down but I found that the heater fan wasn't working on any setting. Any ideas where to start, it was working correctly until recently.
She drove very well indeed, and I had the fun of watching the temp gauge rising as I sat in a Jam at the Port and was delighted that the Rad fans cut in as they should, it was while waiting I noticed the Heater fan failure. The only other issue was that the turbo boost gauge never went above half way which suggests some lack of boost.
Could these be related in some way?
Pointers please

If it's all positions: start with fuse A23 then earth connection on the fan switch.

Heater Blower is fed from 20A Fuse A23 - in the fuse box in the passenger footwell. Circuit also has a 'Blower Fan Fast' Relay which is behind instruments, 2nd from Left and furthest from you (i.e. nearest windscreen). Aircon cars also have a 'Blower Fan Slow' relay which is RH relay in cluster of 3 over the revcounter.
Full boost is restricted until engine gets up to temperature but sounds like you got there ...

I can't see anything that relates 'turbo boost' & 'heater fan not working' ..

Thanks guys,
Car has run great for the last couple of years which is just as well as the climate here puts a damper on any maintenance efforts.
I'll check it out.

Pete,
what do you mean by "halfway up there ?"
if you got a standard ECU its not suposed to go more than halfway (0.6 bar) with those cool upgrade chips. i believe it can go up to 9.8.. but im sure someone will correct me if im wrong.

(I suspect 9.8 bars of boost is probably the unreleased top secret Olympus Mons chip?!)

Someone along...... std boost, 0.65bar Everest chip boost 0.92bar.
As Giniw says,..... 9.8 would probably blow the side off the car!!

Well, if Tesla can put a miserable electric Roadster into space, why shouldn’t we have a go with and Elan? Immortality for the M100
