Lot 243
This M100 had lots of good service history by Paul Matty
New clutch @ 58k miles
Cambelt @ 61k miles
Last service @ 65k miles
Current mileage 67k miles
MOT 10/2019
4 newish premium quality tyres. Good tread
S2 wheels which had been refurbished in sparkly silver. Lots of obvious old NS scrapes and the FNS had a buckle in the rim which hadn't been taken out
All lights worked
Leather seats - usual wear marks but were in dire need of some leather polish and rejuvenator
Carpets - dry. Needed cleaned. Floor mats scruffy
Tried to inspect ECU to see whether it was chipped but stopped by security
Engine bay - needed a good clean and polish. Header tank very low on coolant. Looked and smelt old too. Oil mid mark and clean
Windscreen clear of cracks, chips and blooming at edges
Seals - looked like they'd been abused badly, particularly the A post seals. Intermediate seals were doing their job NS but OS window was down but looked ok
Window seals were ok but were starting to split with metal showing
Jacking points ok. Couldn't see much else underneath as no room to manoeuvre. No coolant/oil drips
Shut lines ok but FOS looked like A panel could do with some fettling to bring gap smaller
Paintwork - not many chips but I've seen a lot better. Paintwork looked and felt dull and didn't look like it had seen wax or polish for many years

Suspect front end respray at some time
SS oval exhaust - looked like a Piper or PNM (Peco ?)
Aerial bent at a jaunty angle
Hood - good with no tears or rips but desperately in need of some Renovo to smarten it up
Plastic rear screen - ok but scratches need polishing out
Had starting problems due to factory fitted alarm but sounded good when started. No smoke or clatter
Commssion bids on the books meant that bidding started at £7300. There was also a telephone bid at £7400 which cleared the books. No action from the floor
Factor in the 6% commission/VAT and the new owner got a nice useable S2 for £7738
Or a dealer picked it up so expect to see it in a showroom near you for £10,500
