Cross Country Shipping

I did a search, honest, couldn't find anything so...

Any advice on shipping a car within Canada (from Montreal to Vancouver)?

I finally secured my car and am trying to get it shipped - anyone done similar with the M100?

Any issues with ground clearance (5.5" when new, I believe).

Any other issues?

Couple of thoughts: as you know, my brother lives on the island. Before they moved, they lived in North Carolina, and I seem to recall that they shipped at least one of their trucks from NC to BC. If it helps, I can ask for more details. Also, I know he’s had some involvement with a group called the Old English Car Club of BC; one of their members must have had the same issue, I would have thought. Finally, esprit888 on this forum lives in Brentwood Bay on the island, and may also have some ideas.

Are the roads there that boring?
That would be a nice road trip to visit Canada (or maybe the north of the USA according to google maps, but anyway!)

The roads across the prairie states (in the middle) are REALLY boring. Miles and miles of straightness between wheat fields.

The bits on either side (BC, NB, NS, etc) are really fun though.

Possibly but I would HAVE to avoid the highways - once did a round trip, Vancouver/Chicago/Vancouver and that was a bit tedious after a while.

Mind you, we were towing a Corvette to Chicago and a helicopter on the way back so that may have factored in.

I have done this a couple of times, i have also driven from Pheonix to Victoria in an M100, which literally almost killed me, its a long story but an interesting one, if anyone is interested i will post it in its entirety, I should mention it almost killed me after i had sold it!
I shipped my last M100 (BRG) from Connecticut to Toronto to Vancouver using Livingston International (formerly SEARAIL) and the price included all of the customs paperwork and clearances. I also used MVS Canada to ship a Lotus Esprit from Nova Scotia to Vancouver. I picked them both up in Vancouver as that is the termination point for the rail shipper (Annacis Island) and the additional cost to deliver to the Island was laughable. I found SEARAIL to be considerably cheaper but the car arrived covered in half an inch of dust. MVS were more expensive and the Esprit arrived with the same amount of dust, only more expensive dust
Both companies have their positive and negative reviews, but i have used Livingston for other vehicles with no issues.

Ben coast to coast (USA) 3 times in an M100 and preparing for another. Wonderful touring car.

If you have it shipped get one of the high end shippers. I know of one M100 that was trashed by the shipper.
