The second Elite (501) was a four seat executive express rather than a sports car conceived because Chapman thought he can make money from it. I am sure there was much muttering from bearded types throwing throwing their pipes into their pint jugs of real ale in disgust at the time, but no one would suggest now that the Elite is not a proper Lotus. A SUV is no different,
in my mind if a lotus vehicle follows the ethos of lightweight, cutting edge technology and better dynamics compared with other products in the SAME sector than it will be true to the Lotus name. As for platform/parts sharing every lotus has been part bin specials, so surely this is now part of the Lotus DNA!.

Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)
