The reason i sold my SE....

Postby Jamie N » Thu 10.01.2019, 11:58

Well I never had any intention of selling my SE and always thought that I would have it for a good while to come, but as we all know things can change dramatically, sometimes out of the blue when we least expect it, and this happened for me on Christmas eve when Santa arrived with his Sleigh, and sitting on top
of it was what you see in the sneak preview below.

As you can imagine I had a lovely xmas day :D , best for years, all day spent in the garage fettling away, didn't even get round to opening my other
prezzies until after dark!.

It's pretty low miles and overall in amazing condition, alloys are spotless, perfect black leather and a fantastic hood as well, the seals are the usual
burst sponge but they are already in the bin, and the handbrake is awful, soon to be rectified with a worthy upgrade.

A few people have emailed me asking if I will still be able to do their seals and I can assure them I will still be able to do the combined full Header / A pillar
and the side hood seals for anyone that needs them so no issues there (other than current tennis elbow, improving).

Well there you have it, the cats out the bag and I'm still here, (unfortunately some will say :banghead: sorry about that :-D ).

 I agree.. The MOT Brake Testing Weights chart makes interesting reading...

The S2 is a bit of a "fat boy" compared to the SE.. as they rolled out the factory the S2 had 141 bhp/ton, SE had 168 bhp/ton.

Any 'help' you give an S2 works even better on an SE.. :D

Hey you, I resemble that remark!. Anyway this one will be getting plenty of use because all of the main modifications I wanted
to make to the SE have been done, so any bits I want to change can be replicated quickly and easily, meaning it wont be sitting with
bits dismantled for weeks on end. Not that I will be making any major changes or mods to it anyway. Type R rear calipers and handbrake, all rubber seals,
and the usual plethora of nuts, bolts, and screws replaced with Stainless, other than that it will be remaining fairly original.

Clemo I will furnish you with the details when you furnish me with the rest of those Trance tracks ;-) .
