Another successful year of motoring and once again 'Merlot' has a clean bill of health with a service and fresh MOT certificate today.

Now looking forward to the year with various 30th celebrations and of course Castle Coombe at the end of next month.

First show next weekend.

Same day as mine!
Weather was nice here today so went for a bit of a drive. It's going well, except I couldn't get any air out the vents - the vacuum hose had fallen off the elbow at the plenum again. :(
Now re-attached with a tie-wrap to cinch it in place. 8)

Must be MOT season!! Mine passed last week. Couple of advisories both fixed.
And I did nearly 10000 miles last year!

Sadly mine's limited to 5k miles a year. I did 1200 miles in one week last October, which is nearly a quarter of my allowed mileage!

That pass is good news though :-)

Passed with no problems. 8)

(But I had only covered about 2,200 miles since last year owing to my 5th gear problems on the way to Hethel for the 70th celebrations that I ended up missing. :|
A 3,000 mile trip round europe this year should bump the mileage up a bit. :-D )

So how did Saltire fare?

And a dog :D

But seriously . . . yes, as far as I know. I certainly have a bulge on the exhaust marked as such.

Disgraceful behaviour

Only 580 miles in the last year, 189 miles the previous year (!!) and 1033 the year before that !! I do more than that in a Castle Combe and Silverstone Classics w/e trip. Within 2 months

Must do better Jonathan. You need a trip north of Hadrian's Wall :burnout:

You’re right, I do. I got a wet leg from Jamie’s seals while driving over there in the rain ☔️

Passed MOT today, with only 2 advisories:

slight oil leak from sump (plug)
brake pipes covered in underseal so couldn't inspect (but I know they are "copper" not steel)

Emissions a nice low 2.38%: a quick twiddle of the pot helped I think as last year it was 3.1%!

I also fitted a new cambelt last week, so I am good to go for the next 5 years until I (or by then a garage??) need to change it again.

:D :D
