You're going to bid more than £6400 on something you've never seen in the flesh

My advice is see it first and then bid. But then I'm a bit risk aware
Service history ??
Cambelt/water pump last changed ?
HPI ?
Accident damage ??
MOT history ?? (little used in the last year+. Why ?)

I may be mistaken but those aren't the right seats for an S2 ?

theyre Elan seats........
the options were half leather......or leather......
I presume this option carried onto the S2...........lets face it the S2 was built with the bits they had left over.......so anything could have been fitted........

Agreed my old S2 #200 had those seats. Been in contact with the seller ... told me he would have taken £5K for it (before this week) so he's done rather well. I think it's a car he's taken in as he doesn't know a great deal about the M100 apart from some kind soul hyping the car up a bit to him .... Did they only make 25 Palacio S2's? It's now in danger of becoming a bit expensive though, pictures of the underneath look sound although it has had some paintwork done recently (probably not by a specialist) Hope to pop along and see it tomorrow as long as it doesn't get ridiculously expensive.
Next M100 TBA!

Darn it. If I'd seen this discussion a few days ago I'd have gone to see it (not to buy just to be nosey and report back). I work in scummy Croydon at the moment.
I wouldn't buy a car I'd never seen. My brother-in-law bought a XJS a year or two ago half cut on a friday night

The seller did agree to back out of the deal if it wasn't as he described (mint).
I'd suggest checking mot history for yourself...Mot history looks ok...although when I see lots of fails I think they're not getting it serviced properly as most should be fixed prior to MOT. For example both front and rear tyres had a bulge in 2015! So I'd want to see the SH paperwork and go through it checking against MOT.

You can get a HPI check for a tenner. Thats well worth doing.
Yes, not a fan of the hardtop either. Is that really colour coded. It looks a blue hard top to me...but still worth a few quid on its own

Maybe Kathryn has a photo/knowledge of it ?!
No. Seen it for the first time in his Facebook post. I had the special edition number but no more details.
(Btw I’ve already baggsied the hardtop if the buyer doesn’t want it!)

Colour coded hardtop has to be worth £1500 - 2000 alone
Car looks nice and tidy and the hardtop suits it well. Soft top looks a bit manky though. Looks like the car has been kept under trees with all that greenery on the canvas

Would probably scrub up well with some Renovo conditioner and cleaner and a bit of elbow grease
Well Kathryn looks like someone taken a shine to that hard top so not much chance you’ll be seeing that for free in the near future ..
Seems your spot on Rambo -£1500 for the Hard top, looking at the current sale price £7200 it’s made that 110k S2 an attractive buy
With or without hard top I’m undecided, maybe not colour coded that doesn’t help really I think.. will be interesting to see the final sale figure.

Ahh this is the car I went to view, a good honest description only thing he’s hiding is the door cards missing from the drivers door. He has it, it’s just not fitted I believe it’s all there.

Wouldn’t doubt it for a moment Simon and if any advisories he’ll let me know of those also.
Unfortunately every panel has a nick or chip so it’s going to be hard not to repaint the whole car at some point plus it needs the cam belt doing so looks like I’ll be trailering it back to the midlands.

It looks great but it will need to be re-commissioned - cambelt, water pump + associated parts and belts, brakes stripped out and checked, same for discs and pads etc..., tyres ??? (check for sidewall cracking, tread depth, wear and DOT marks) all new fluids erc...
But I'd love to have it in my garage

Simple really, I brought the Se a few weeks ago (which is currently in the paint shop having a few bits done) and now brought this S2 if his sought out an MOT Once/if I get the S2 back home I’ll see if I can also get this one ready for CC and let you know to add to the numbers attending.

I’ve been looking for some some paint work (cosmetic) for a while in the Derby area just interested in who you have chosen to do the work?
Thanks

But the MOT checker verifies the mileage, has the reg been swapped or is it definitely your car.

MOT history seems to indicate the mileage is genuine, although there is a 6 year MOT gap between 2011 and 2017. I would have hoped the MOT history would show any clocking
