My Elan failed MOT on brakes

My HiSpecs that have only done less than 200 miles have seized on.

I can have these refurbished but looking for other options

I've looked at the PSM rears and they don't look so great.

What are the other options?

These are an option Tony.... viewtopic.php?f=41&t=26878 , a bit of fettling to be done for sure but once fitted you will have the best rear calipers on an M100 bar none, simple to service, spares available by the multitude should you ever need them, and best of all.... inexpensive, no eye watering prices with these.

Presume you mean PNM not PSM. Either way you could re-furbish your existing rear (?) Hi-spec calipers. I think they use Golf Mk4 rear calipers.
However Jamie's fix is a good one.

I actually bought Jamie's car earlier this year and I can vouch for the effectiveness of the rear brakes he fitted from the Type R, easy to maintain as much more modern and the handbrake is second to none no need to pull the handbrake lever vertical, easy to release due to the use of a decent lever and very effective, try to pull off with it on and you just drag the rear down, no chance of the rear wheels moving. If you are ever down in Stockton on Tees let me know and you can give them a try.

Good news my Elan now has and MOT!

They refurbished my HiSpec rears.

I don't know the bill yet though.
