Hi Guys. I’m Kris and I ve bought a 1991 H Se Turbo. It was a previous members car for 11 years and I bought it from a specialist sports garage in Glasgow. Taken ownership today and 1st impressions are I love it!! Bar a flat battery and some embarrassment at the petrol station not starting then having to find the battery
I ve given the car a full clean inside and out and it looks stunning! It came with 12 mth mot. I just plan to have a service, cam belt and have the S2 wheels re-furbished. The leather seats have started to come apart from the sticti g so any advise would be great. I am in Wakefield just outside of Leeds. Anyways I look forward to many sunny days!! Cheers Kris

The SE seat base is a thick rubber membrane held to the frame by some metal clips.
Over time, some of the metal clips break, which allows the seat to sink a little. You don't notice the first, or probably not the second, but the seat will start to sink & this will put extra stress on the seat covers which will eventually split.
My seats had started to split before I bought the car & I did not know the cause until I took out the seats to get them re-covered. The upholsterer re-built them at the same time, replacing all the broken clips & any foam which had lost its shape.
