I had absolutely no intention of doing this but events conspired to allow me to buy an Evora.
Ideally I would have loved to have kept both but lack of decent garaging and upkeep meant it was not feasible
The only thing that makes it bearable is BFG has gone back to her previous owner, Gov, who I know will lavish care and attention on her. She couldn’t be in better hands.
LEC is a wonderful forum, great people dedicated to looking after a great car. I only wish I could have participated more fully.
Living over here does limit the ability to get to events, anything any distance means either an overnight stay or you are on the 1am ferry and it does dull the enthusiasm to make the effort.
The Elan is a wonderful car, it’s design and capabilities mean it is easily the equal of far newer vehicles but as many of you probably agree the desire to look after them means you tend to only use them in the summer thus limiting driving time.
I intend to use the Evora whenever possible, for longer trips to see family etc so get more “Lotus” time.
Anyway thanks again for all the help & advice, I intend to keep in touch with the forum and hope to get to the Hen & Chicken, possibly next week

particularly when the sun shines and you want to really press on round the twisty bits... M100 is still one of the best cross-country cars around, but have never found a car that suits everything I want to do..
