M100 - Error 34 - Elan scan faults 800

Postby martinpt » Mon 05.08.2019, 22:14

Hello , i'm a newest buyer of Lotus Elan M100.
So I started driving the car without any problems then I blow the radiator house because of the pressure in the coolant circuit, I went to the mechanic and he found a problem with the head gasket.
He has replace the head gasket, oil seals and valves, after that i drove the car without any problems but somehow the car started to switch on the engine light and can't drove above 2500RPM and the car makes a lot of smoke.
after many times to throttle at max the error disappears and the car runs well until the next light on...
I made ALDL test and give me the error 34, after that I bought FTI interface to make the test under Elan Scan and appears faults 800 with the map low ON.

Any good soul can help me with this problem? :-D :-D

Code 34 is consistent with fault code 800: The Mass Air Pressure (MAP) reading is low. The ElanScan air pressures look sensible so you might have an intermittent problem on the wiring - I'd check the connector to the MAP. There is some information about the MAP on the WikiLEC.
