Original Europa - I had lots of the little blue Corgi models when I was young!
Elan +2, because £30k wouldn't get a decent type 26.
70s or 80s Esprit, because they look great!

(A Corrado was on my short list when I got the Elan, if i'd found a decent "un-messed with" one, I might not be here now)

(But at the moment I really want a TR3!!)

Kathyn, Yeah, keep the M100, I'm still running a couple of M100's as well because they are just such fun cross country with the hood down and the boot is so big ! - It's still my 'shopping car'..

I have no need for another sensible car so I would go for a Lotus Esprit. I'd love a JPS but I doubt I'd get one for £30k so it would have to be either an Orange S2 like the one I saw for sale for 2 minutes on eBay recently or a low mileage HC perhaps.

I've read a lot about them having engine fires.... perhaps if they stop shoving sofas in the engine bay

Is your Evora a Evora S or a NA ?.

It's Launch Edition Number 14 (but 13th made - Mike Kimberley confirmed Lotus never used 13 on type or models) so 2+2 and all the other LE features. pistonheads - evora-launch-edition

Mine is Aquamarine with Oyster (white) leather ...

I'd read about a lot of clutch and transmission problems on early cars so was very dubious about the S and not even sure about NA's but it was with a dealer a mile or two from the office in Slough where I was on a contract so went to have a look during my lunchtime.

I really liked the white interior, thought Aquamarine looked a 'class' rather than 'flash' colour, it also had that Reg Plate and a Pioneer SatNav ICE unit that had replaced the poor OE Alpine unit. Found out what dealer's best price was and said I'd think about it ...
At that time there were a couple of high mileage S's for a similar price in the midlands but black interiors, not +2, and both had deformed airbag covers and rather crooked looking front clamshells that suggested going to look might be a waste of time..
I returned to the office and was asked to extend my contract by another 3 months so immediately said 'Yes' and then phoned the dealer and said 'I'll have it' .... easy come, easy go ..

NIce one here for £28k pistonheads/lotus-evora-3-5-vvti-v6-sports but not sure why front seats are black with Oyster interior trim .. and think it's only 2 seats, not +2.

Have a 1992 Elan and a 2010 Evora. Both are great cars. If I had to sell one of them the Evora would be first.

Only other thoughts on replacing it with another Lotus would be an eelier Elan Sprint.

Will not be abandoning the Elan but looking at something to replace the Evora in the near future. I love the look of the car and don't really want to sell it, but it lacks performance and there is no Lotus dealer here in Bahrain that can read the ECU codes. Lotus has seemed to have all scanners locked out of reading the codes, other than using their own software.

So unfortunately the Evora will be going up for sale shortly. Currently I'm looking for a Gallardo to replace it.

Are you sure? I would say it's probably illegal, isn't it? (I mean, as for the basic/standard stuff, not the lotus specific info).
Is it not a standard OBD plug? (apparently it is https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f170/e ... ery-97580/ but they don't talk about the software)
Isn't there a CEL flash code with a wire to ground somewhere? What a shame :/
