Back on the road after 8 years

What can i say sometimes life gets in the way and the years fly by so quick..

Wife put me onto a chap she had made an elan cake for previously "he knows a thing or two about them" and after a phone call met up with Pete or peteoddcar on here who's enthusiasm and contacts meant the car was out of the garage, stripped down, had new tyres, new fluids, new cam belt ,brakes front and rear rebuilt or replaced, mot'd and brought back and in my garage in 3 days!!
Good to be back behind the wheel again and good to be back on here - some old names still on here and sadly some no longer but thats life i suppose. Again big thanks to peteoddcar for the help and advice and its nice to be enjoying all those little elan quirks like finding your fuel cap under water after the rain - an easy fix i know but did make me laugh out loud when i went to fill up luckily i had a microfibre cloth to soak it up!

Thanks for the glowing review!
I was just happy to help, and with Barry H’s facilities and skill, on pretty much all things automotive we got it done.
There was a reason for it being done so quickly and that was it just happened his next project was delayed by a week so he had a gap to fill.
Warren Classic today - not showing but taking mine along - I have even polished it for the outing.

Did i hear right that they were charging £20 to view and £100 to show a car this year? heard someone grumbling about it in the tap room earlier in the week, saying that could have been the ale talking....

I did pick them brake lines up for the rear you recommended so if barry ever gets another window free i will pop over
