I've been given lots of travel and driving abroad tips from other members and now from my recent trip I have a lot of knowledge and recommendations to share with other LEC members. Things like travel tips, hotel recommendations, great drives, anything to be wary of (tolls, speed cameras and ZTL in most cities in Italy for example).
Would you like me to create a thread with my hints and tips in the ClanElan area, another area of LEC or do you think it worth us having a separate area where we could perhaps have a thread per trip? That way when we plan to drive somewhere we can look up to see if anyone else has travelled there and see what worked for them.

Justin,
However you choose to do it, it sounds like a good idea to me.

As Nike would say...... "Just, do it!" (see what I did there, with clever use of the comma, it becomes a double pun

)
Dave
Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

I was thinking along the lines of a new section under “non technical” called travel tips or something like that

You could call it "Jus-Rol with it". then you'd have an emblem and a theme tune....
