Hello from Bucks

Postby MarkP » Fri 15.11.2019, 00:21

After many years of window shopping I have finally acquired an M100. It’s 92 SE in Aqua blue. Bit of a rolling project. It starts, it stops and it has an MOT. Lots of things need fixing, but I guess they are all like that. Just taken the drivers seat out as the squab is split and the seat belt warning light intermittently stays on. Looking forward to many months of tinkering.

Welcome to the mad house.

I'm just down the road in Wokingham; if you want a hand with anything, just ask.

Thanks Jim,
I am north of High Wycombe so not that far away. Good to know there are other M100s in the area.

Hi Mark

I've just bought another rolling project, mines a 90 SE, it's currently in ever increasing bits as I find out more things wrong with it. I'm over in Oxfordshire and work near High Wycombe; it's nice to know there are nearby M100 sufferers.

Hopefully I will 'cure It' in the next few months, either that or it will kill me!

Hi Dave, good to hear from you. I am slowly reducing the car to a pile of bits as the list of things that needs doing increases. I am now working on two categories, things I can live with for a while and things that I want to get sorted out sooner. There is much more on the latter than the former. This is not my first Lotus and I am enjoying discovering some of the Lotus idiosyncrasies, like why would you not run a switched power to the radio so that it doesn’t run the battery down if you forget to turn it off! It’s on the list!
