Front spoiler rubber lip

Postby Lotussi » Thu 16.01.2020, 14:21

Hi there,

I am looking for the front spoiler rubber lip.
I saw a video on you tube -very well described how to do, and where to get it., thank you
-except I wrote to the Walker Rubber Shop and they need an order of minimum 100 pounds aka 40 m
and I would only need 2.5 m
Any other addresses?
-and in Germany?

I've just phoned them and they confirm they now have a MOQ of 40m. :(

SJS sell them at about £30+ but give me a couple of days and I'll see what I can do.

https://www.sjsportscars.com/parts-and- ... B0502F.htm for instance (mmm I think it was a bit cheaper back then)
On the other hand we may put a group buy from WR? (I already have a spare though but it wears quickly anyway ... although I reckon it hasn't touched the ground for a while since I replaced the springs)

Being in the US, I'm not much help for European owners, but I have 15 pieces of the front spoiler for $35.00 each + postage and several sets of the retainer plates in stainless steel for $40.00 each set + postage.

Postage is difficult (not cheap) because the center retaining strip is fairly long. I would be happy to quote shipping prices if you send me your address.

I was going to offer them as a "turn-key" kit but health issues have changed that.

I can offer either the retainer kit or rubber strip separately but also as a complete kit.

Right now, I don't have the hardware included, but I was working on that before having to stop.

I have dealt with Walker Rubber in the past and I have at least one front lip to hand with the holes in the correct place. I also have the screw and washers in stainless - The correct washers are an obscure size. I didn't get as far as having the nuts made because I had to order several thousand.

I previously sold the rubber lip for £25 and the screws and washers for £7.
I'll wait for Geoff to get back, but if not I'm happy to take this on and already have the jig (somewhere) for making the holes. The only reason I stopped offering them is because there wasn't the demand!

If you're not too fussed about originality;

I fitted one of these. Needs a few notches cut to curve round and stainless penny washers to fit..

I bought something similar, not fitted it yet but the size is almost exactly the same as the original.

I would be interested in Simon_P s version plus fixings if this goes ahead. My car is devoid of all spoilerage.
