Hello all you good people.
I just want to say hello and introduce myself to this forum.
I had a dream some 20 years ago to one day drive and own my own elan, it’s my favourite car period.
I consider myself hugely fortunate to finally own M100 ALH. And rest assured it will be well looked after.
Hope to see you all at some point in a meet and show.

Hi and welcome.
CC is ‘the big one’ as a get together this year. Depending where you are in the country, there may be a regular monthly meet-up....or if not, you could start one....

There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those that understand binary.....

Thank you all for your kind welcome.
I am derby based and will try to upload some pictures of my pride and joy soon.
Unfortunate I will not be able to attend castle Combe at the end of May due to being on holiday.
I hope to make a few meets over the summer though.

The green club sounds good to me

!!
I did the serpentine run a couple of weeks ago in the elan obviously joined by
a couple of friends 1 in his 370z and the other in his tiger cat 1 kit car.
So much fun and great cars and people. Does anyone know of any more of these type of events, meets/shows?
Be a shame not to get out and about a little more.
Cheers

I was supposed to be on that run unfortunately had to miss it at the last minute.. seems I missed a great day
You missed a good night last night with the guys from Midland Lotus just down the road from you, they meet at the Clock Warehouse - Shardlow second Monday every month. Mostly modern Lotus but a good bunch, I’ve also been out on a couple of events and runs with them also.
If the powers that be don’t mind I’ll open a new thread for Shardlow and see if we carnt get a few M100 from Derby and Nottingham area and jump onto this meet as we don’t seem to have any current LEC ones in our area

Sounds like a great idea! Like you say if the powers that be are ok.
I’ll be sure to go down to shardlow on the next one!
Serpentine was awesome great weather and the meet at the end in the pavilion gardens in Buxton
was fantastic. You forget how beautiful the Derbyshire peaks are especially with the hood down in
a M100.

Assuming that I am included in 'the powers that be', then there is no problem with anyone on the forum starting a topic/thread or even a whole new section - we are all here for the experience of the cars (and other things), and encourage participation.
Hats off to anyone who is prepared to step up and try to organise anything - we all know how easy it is to leave stuff to someone else, and then complain when nowt gets done....

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
