Hadn't seen this one before. Looks like someone just pulled this straight from the VHS archives.

That is the "Introduction Video" that Lotus US provided to the US dealers when they were trying to sell the car.

There is a mixture of US/Federal segments and other segments with non Federal stuff like the UK steering wheel and such.

I made a DVD copy of it from a dealer VHS I was "loaned".

If you want a copy, I can send you a zip file of the Video_RM and Video_TS that should be able to view on your PC...

Woah, is that clock actually in the position illustrated in my copy of the manual instead of where it is in my car, hidden behind the indicator stalk?? Is this a LHD quirk or am I just unlucky?

I believe Lotus put it in the same relative position to the driver, so on the LHD car, it is blocked somewhat by the wiper stalk and on the RHD car it is blocked by the directional stalk.

I was WRONG, the RHD clock is almost un-viewable if it is in the position shown in the parts book.
I have a RHD Instrument panel upstairs and will look at it later today.

The WSM Electrics V6 shows a LHD dash. (Well my copy does) As also seen in the photo posted above, with the digital clock to the right of the steering wheel.

The RHD turbo models have a digital clock, beautifully hidden by the indicator stalk.

Goodness, I checked the owner's guide and you're right. Those cheeky continental types obviously can't afford watches and actually need to see the clock!

I can see my clock quite well while driving actually — on a LHD car.
I like to have my steering wheel quite low, that might explains why it's visible from the driver.

(as for the ads on youtube, you might install an adblocker for your browser — "ublock origin" has quite a great reputation and is available both for Firefox, Edge and Chrome)
