Not to worry. My plan to use a vacuum cleaner worked to a point but I couldn't keep it at the orifice and at the same time get anything in to howk it out, so eventually the cam cover came off and it rolled out the end of the baffle. Luckily it was still in there and I had a spare gasket in the loft and I had a tube of gunk that hadn't gone off, but the old gasket looked fine so it went back on. Thanks once again to Simon for sending me a grommet.
It's back on the road and someone enjoyed the first 10 minutes, but it's been a long day and he missed the last 10 minutes…
