Turbo heat shield

But is the turbo heat shield (top) still available from anywhere?? Looking for a new one.

These went out of stock so many years ago now that I think Geoff was not long out of shorts

Your best bet is a scrappies such as DVB but expect to pay a premium price as they are as rare as hen's teeth

Am I right I’m saying that the top heat shield is the same as the 1992 Isuzu Impulse??
If this is right I’m attempting to source some. Can someone tell me if they are different at all.

Has anyone before attempted in getting some from the US to be sent over to the UK? Or are they obsolete on that side of the pond? Only saying as the Isuzu website in the states are showing stock, but sadly not delivering to the UK. So Trying to contact them about, firstly if they have any stock And secondly, be prepared to sent some over. I’d buy a load of units if available just to save on postage. Who knows If I ever get a response, but it’s worth a punt. Plus if they have some available I may do a group buy?????? So many ifs and buts. Ha ha ha

What Isuzu web site are you referencing?

Isuzu (car parts) basically left the country years ago and never had their dealers close out their Internet postings.

Did you actually confirm the part was really available? The part # is 8943113351

If you search for a Cam Angle Sensor (CAS) (8011038181) you will find at least 10 sites that say they have it available but there are really NONE to be found.

Send me the part number you searched and where you found it as available and, if it really exists, I will look into the cost of postage and let you know your options.

I would expect any brand new ones to be without dents, but wouldn't be surprised if they had some surface rust in places.

Why not get your cover cleaned and re-coated / re-plated?

I called one of the Isuzu dealers (that also have the full catalog on line) and they confirmed the cover has been obsolete for over a decade.

He laughed at the thought they might be available for $22.47. It is hard to find a bolt for that kind of price much less a stamped part.

I may have a decent one on one of the new engines I got. I will look and post a picture if I find one.

Unfortunately, it won't be $22.47.

By the way, I have always been available to order interchange parts from the US and forward them to UK owners.

It is best if you order and pay for the part(s) and have them shipped to me and I will just put a new shipping label on the package and move it forward.

Since so few new parts are now available from dealers, and suppliers like Rock Auto have a UK web site, not much of that has been needed for quite a while.

Yes I’ve looked at a few companies like Zircotec. They look very impressive. Just had a reply from Isuzu, and yes they confirmed obsolete. Why they show availability on their site is a bit stupid, but there we go. Could be sanding and polishing I reckon.
If I go down the route of ceramic powder coating, it’ll be very expensive as I’ll get carried away. Ha ha ha.

Get it shot blasted & take a decent mould from it.....

I had mine powder coated by a firm in Scunthorpe, it wasn´t expensive.
