I mean no offence with the supposedly Nationalistic slur......

..... just my interpretation of another example of 'seperation by a common language' - many things are written in a way that the 'others' don't always think in, and something which makes pure sense to the author, and half of the readers, is interpreted differently by the other half.

thanks for the valuable information, motor removed and fitted with pills and all working fine.

When I reconnect the battery the motor for this side runs & I get a knocking sound for 7 seconds, the pod does not lift.

this is the kind of behaviour that we have seen happening when some of the "pills" are broken and no longer creating a good connection between the gears

Once powered up the pods can be operated as normal using light switch, however the near side pod knocks for 7 seconds on lifting and lowering.

when some of the pills are damaged this is one of style of symtoms members have found in the past.

If I disconnect the pod motor at the local plug and reconnect as expected nothing happens.

the local motor connection will not trigger a "reset", the "reset" is commanded by the lift module

we are all suggesting that you need to check and likely replace the "pills" because the symtpoms described are consistent with that type of issue from many other owners accounts.
