BEWARE !! Phishing scam !!

Postby Rambo » Sat 03.10.2020, 17:29

BEWARE !!

I have just received a potential phishing e mail scam using the HMCTS logo for an alleged traffic penalty. The e mail asks for an immediate payment of £12.24, which is a ridiculous amount to ask for anyway. If it was the likes of £30, 40, 50 or 60 it might have been more plausible

Anyway my suspicions were again aroused when it confirmed a time of 16:24 last Saturday when I know I was at home along with all vehicles. I did a bit of digging on the internet and it looks like a scam doing the rounds. If you get a similar e mail I suggest you put it in your spam or delete box

The wife got one of these scam emails and she doesn’t drive!
It look like the email originated in Brazil
Green 1990 SE 89,000 miles - Sold 2014
Red 1990 SE 28,000 miles - Bought 2020. I should drive this more often!

I have full permission to leave Sturgeonshire from our First Dictator, Nicoliar Sturgeonof.

We have the 4th lowest rate of CV-19 in the country behind Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles and yet our restrictions are higher than Liverpool which is in the highest category in Englandshire. It does't make sense and, as an ex analytical scientist, not much of it does :?

I will bring a new mask with me, not that that prevents CV-19, so where do you leave the keys Alan ? And, after the drive, where's the nearest decent pub as they have been prohibited here

Mark,

I take issue with your numbers - I believe that you'll find that Pembrokeshire is 4th lowest (I agree that Orkneys and Shetlands are top, then Scilly Isles, then Pembrokeshire).......... but..... maybe it is just that Chairman Drakeford and his comrades felt left out so, being wannabe politicians, decided to just make up some numbers.

Either way, we have no lockdown restrictions here (other than what we've had for a long time)... so feel free to ask Alan for his credit card to pay for the fuel, and bring it over here for a spin :burnout:
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Dave - when I referred to "the country" I was of course referring to the Kingdom of Krankieshire. As far as I know, NicoLiar hasn't seized power of the UK. Yet :?

You're not the only one. I broke my leg in August too.
I have been able to drive again since the weather turned from sunny to wet, so my Elan has not moved.

Whats with all this rubbish about not being able to drive with a broken leg????

(Okay, I'll grant you it's not a brilliant idea, and the insurance company/hospital/missus/old bill may not be impressed - but it can be done.)
