Bailey Motorsport Red dump valve

Postby biffobear » Fri 28.05.2021, 14:21

I may be in the wrong section here, its maybe for up grades. Anyway I have a Bailey motorsport single piston red dump valve fitted and today it has decided to stay fully open on tick over at 950rpm but closes when the engine stops......Several hours later. sorted

Sounds to me it's working backwards. Closed when should be open and vice versa. But it should open when you lift your foot off after hard acceleration.

Is the vacuum attached correctly?
Is it correctly assembled inside and you simply copied it?
Is the diaphragm OK?

Mine is a Forge dump valve. Was able to buy a repair kit and it's now OK....was leaking a bit beforehand.

Top valve sticking on the shaft. Took it apart and cleaned it all
