No boost gauge indication under 2900rpm?

Hi all- can someone enlighten me on what my boost gauge should be indicating when operating normally? I have an SE and I don't seem to have any boost indication (0bar boost)below 2900rpm? Above that and I get a boost indication 0.75 bar approx depending on how the car is driven
My understanding is that a boost indication up to 0.4bar is normal below 2900 rpm.
Could this be wastegate related?

The ECU is programmed to need to meet certain requirements before 'allowing' the turbo to boost.

It needs to be at a certain temperature, throttle opening and revs.

From memory, it is 3000rpm on a 'standard' memcal map, and drops to 2800 with an Everest chip. So, yours is behaving as I would expect. It is all done in an attempt to prevent the engine from blowing itself up.
