tickover saga conclusion

Postby kbee » Fri 18.06.2021, 21:00

thought this info might help others, bought my S2 in April and was advised by the seller that the normal tickover speed was 1200 rpm . The saga begins , soon realised this was Bull**** and did the usual air leak and adjustment checks ,no luck .Did some research and found I had code 23 manifold temp low ,changed sensor ,no change. No check codes so research and a new IAC valve , the original sure enough was siezed.....result 950 tickover :x but only at some temperatures , more research  changed ECM temp sensor  950 rpm . First Lotus and a baptism of fire . all thanks to the manual section .
