Lost keys and immobiliser fob

I’ve lost the only key to my 1991 M100 and the only fob for the toad immobiliser. Any suggestions gratefully received.

I take it you haven't lost the keys in the boot? ie immobilised/locked the car, then left your keys in the boot? If so, we can get you into your boot without a key Dave Eds will help with that I'm sure

Hopefully you have a record in your files of the Toad immobiliser/alarm no. You should be able to purchase a new one from Toad

As for the door/boot locks, the only thing I can suggest is to purchase new sets. You will still need a new ignition lock/barrel and it all sounds very expensive

Does your car/house insurance cover you for lost keys etc....If so.....

I really don’t think they are in the boot but can’t be certain so that may be worth a try. I have the code for the toad so that may not be a problem in getting it disabled.
I don’t have the code for the ignition/boot keys but the Aa website says that they may be able to may make keys using the lock…. Do you think that is possible.
Just digging out the insurance now.

I have tried to get into the boot following your instructions but without success.
We will be here on Thursday pm and it would be kind of you if you can help. I still think that it is unlikely that the keys are in there but it is just possible.
The keys that Lotus have sent are identical according to them but, one key will lock but not unlock the drivers door. Does not work in the other door, boot or ignition. The other key will not work in an of those places.

Hi All,
Thanks for the advice and offers of help.
Eventually got this sorted.
It was quite simple (but drawn out)
Lotus sent me some keys but they did not fit. They claimed that the locks must have been changed but there’s no evidence of this.
I asked Nottm locksmiths to come out just to open the boot. They arrived within the hour and the guy just cut a key from the information that he had gained from picking the lock. He told me that lotus had used the wrong codes then supplied me with the correct one.
Excellent price and service. Can’t recommend them highly enough
