Re-fitting the Brake Pedal Switch

Postby Rusty Wishbone » Mon 02.05.2022, 11:46

It has been a few weeks since I removed the brake pedal switch, and now I come to re-fit it, I can't figure out how it is retained. I can push it through the hole so that it pushes against the brake pedal, but can't figure out how to make it stay in place. I don't recall there being any nut. I wonder if the plastic insert into which the switch fits has got damaged. Any tips?

OK, I've figured it out. I was fooled by its simplicity - it just requires a 90 degree clockwise twist!

Yeah, I feel your pain Rusty Wishbone. :o
I spent ages invoking the might of LEC 'cos my newly-fitted DAB radio illumination continually stayed on when I switched the set off - only to find out that there was an 'off' switch on the front fascia that I didn't know about...
