Halfords 'Tyres on the drive'

Postby GeoffSmith » Fri 08.07.2022, 14:04

Looking for a full set of 205/45 R16 Avon ZV7s I came across Halfords 'Tyres on the drive'. Their NEWTYRES22 15% discount brings the total bill down to under £300, so they're nearly as cheap as supply only from Camskill, BlackCircles etc at ~£272 and not worth paying the congestion charge to get to Cabot Tyres.

I use Avon ZV7 on my Yeti - they don’t want to wear out! I have done over 30k and still about 4mm on the front

I also run ZV7s on the S2 and have been very happy with them. Perhaps a touch noisy on some surfaces, but that’s me being really picky.

That's why I went for them… but you didn't tell me they were noisy - they can't be any worse than the Peco though!

Very impressed but the young lad did say he's given the better cars as he is more careful than some of the operatives. I just need a new battery and an MoT for Thruxton.

Don’t worry, Geoff: it’s only an issue over really broken road surfaces with lots of potholes - and as you know, we have none of those in Wiltshire/Gloucestershire
