i dont think you can. but im sure an admin or moderator will be able to confirm that. why would you want to delete a thread anyway ? if its a duplicate. what i have noticed in the past was that they get merged with the original post

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

You are right, there is no reason to delete a thread on this forum.

Well, now I've got a real quandary/conundrum to sort out
I can either delete this thread, which was the original request, and all would be good.....
..... except, if I leave it, it serves to inform anyone who looks for the information in the future, that there is a mechanism to remove threads.....
