Thanks to the Techie(s) for fixing the Forum software.
I've been unable to keep logged in for more than a few seconds for a week or so, but now all seems to be working well again!

I have had problems actually logging in.
I click on LOGIN in the top right of the screen.
I login.
At the top right of the screen I am logged in.
I do nothing at all, as is usual, I get automatically switched to the BOARD INDEX, but in the top right of the screen I am no longer logged in.
I reported this a couple of weeks back, and although this did not receive a response, everything returned to normal, so I forgot about it.
Until minutes ago, when it was back again. After trying several times with the same logged in, oops, logged out again result, I downloaded the software to record the screen actions. Set it running, and (of course) it worked as advertised.
There is a gremlin in there somewhere though…

In case you are wondering Ron (and completely off topic for this thread), I have not yet installed your wonder-chip that arrived so very quickly.
Before Christmas I placed an online order for a new thermostat and gasket. The gasket arrived on 3-Jan-34, and I removed the old thermostat in anticipation of the new thermostat’s arrival.
The next day Aussie Post said that the thermostat was “delayed”. After a week of no package tracking movement, I asked Oz Post what they were playing at and was told that they are not even going to start looking for it until 17-Jan-24, in case it turns up! And my following emails have done nothing but have them dig in their heels.
Australia Post has been a government-owned corporation since 1989. They still operate with the couldn’t care less attitude of any government department, and the government look the other way when there are issues. They seem to have a perfect no care and no responsibility combination...

Be careful what you wish for Barry!
Our (Privatised) Post Office is currently being investigated for wrongly prosecuting >700 of their own staff, some of whom served jail time. Turns out there was a bug in a privately provided IT system, then a cover-up. The company boss got a CBE (since handed back under pressure from the general public), and the IT firm got put on a list to be treated preferentially for Govt. contracts.

Just trying a post to see if the log-off as soon as logged-on problem is fixed.....
Edit: It worked!

And it now works for me too - but then it did that the last time I had the problem, and then a subsequent time that I tried to logon it had reverted to not liking me again.
Once the door to LEC is closed in this way, what is the correct procedure to draw it to the attention of the people who have the keys?

Accessing this site appears to be a bit hit or miss at the moment, is there any way a status indicator can be added, i.e. 'Admin are aware of issues - please bear with us'?

I have been getting 'submitted form not valid' message when trying to post and I know others who are getting the same!
Thats the point of a status message as most people may assume the forum is quiet but it may be because some people are unable to post - maybe all part of Zuckerbergs plan to force everyone on to facebook!

I couldn't post 2 hours ago but I can now
I have noticed when I cant post I am not listed on the Who is Online section even though I am showing as being logged in. When I am listed in the who is online section I appear to be able to post.

Been very difficult for me to log in as well, some days you can get in but can't post anything. Surely someone has an idea what the problem is?
