Hello,
Does anyone have any info on either of these two cars (the red S1 appeared about three weeks ago, I only noticed the blue S2 today):
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... =on&page=1https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... =on&page=1I like the colour of the S1 - looks more classy than the more common solid red you see them in, but I guess would probably show up stone chips more. Not a lot of detail from the pics, but could do with a decent valet and leather condition. A small thing, but the wheel bolts are very rusty (not expensive to replace I imagine, but that's my point). Never heard of the dealer, they don't appear to be a Lotus or sports car specialist.
The S2 does look pretty stunning from the photos, although seems a bit rich for a private sale (I guess the plate also carries some value?) - plus according to the ad, the MOT has run out (I've presumed this must be a misprint and they meant to type 2022) and the shocks/springs look badly corroded (although I'm in no way a mechanical expert). Without commenting further on pricing, I'd expect a car like this to need no work or servicing for some time!

This car has been for sale for months on Gumtree. Originally advertised as an M200, now an S2

And I remember that "Jamie the Seal" commenting on the pop riveted rear screen
It ain't no M200

Since it was sold at Auction last year at 78900 miles and is being sold as "78000" miles, it clearly hasn't troubled the odometer in the last year.

MOT history these past few years implies a bit uncaring/unloved?

it was a B [xx] LAN reg. but i dont recall if it was 6.
but as a part ex. seems very likely to be the same car. private sellers usually stay away from AT.. the fees are ridiculous

the most common reason for that issue is not an expensive fix... (probably around 20 quid if DIY) the one uncommon problem i can think of can be more than £150 worth just in parts.. all depends on who's doing the job... and what job needs doing.
I've had both issues in my yellow car. both got fixed for less than 30 quid total.. but i think others will agree my methods are not average DIY'er approach.

Thanks Tuga,
What is the cheap fix, and what is the expensive fix ?
Would the car pass the MOT with the headlight problem ?
Have you made a youtube video of the cheap fix.
