That'll be a nice Christmas project for you Ron.

Anyone being asked what they want for Christmas here is your answer! If you're thinking about it the switcher provides the perfect answer. I've had several cars with and without the Everest but didn't fit one to the green car because I don't want the extra performance most of the time - Being able to switch it on or off makes the decision easy.

Not shown in the pictures is that Ron has labelled the board so that you know which chip is in play with or without the jumper, and included a length of wire with a plug so that you can switch it remotely if you want to... and instructions... and very well packed.

after a long journey to manchester using the everest chip not long ago, I can confirm there is no noticeable fuel consumption difference between open loop with or without everest.
i usually average 38mpg on long jorneys at a constant 70. and that trip averaged 38.7mpg.

I will be swapping to close loop at some point next year, already have the O2 sensor from rockauto, just havent had the free space in the garage to actually do it yet.

Is yours a California car? They had a "Special" version of the prom to pass the smog test, which I don't have access to. If it's 49-states then I can certainly help.
