Other Isuzu engine(s) with Elan-compatible main bearings

Some confusion exits (at least with me) on other Isuzu-supplied engine(s) that have main bearings which physically fit the Elan M100 crankshaft.

1) GEO Storm SOHC engines appear to possess mains that are 2.0 mm smaller in diameter.

2) GEO Storm DOHC 1600 cc engine *MAY* have the correct main journal diameter . . . but the mains do not have the extra drilling for the oil squirters. I am told a jig can be 3-D printed so one can drill these main shells for the Elan oil squirters.

3) The Asuna Sunfire 1800 cc DOHC may mirror the Storm's 1600 cc mains.

Can anyone confirm this for me?

correct me if im wrong. but arent those shells made of "extra hardened" steel ?
if im right, you "can" 3d print a jig. but your drill bit would wonder about sideways destroying the plastic before it actually bit into the metal, making it very likely to get inncurate holes... uness you mean a "jig" as just a half moon placeholder while your using the drill press ?

You can 3D print a male and female jig (essentially a match of the crank journal). To that, drill and insert a steel bushing to one side that allows you to drill through the half shell and have an extra oil squirter hole in the main bearing. You will need to countersink and debur this drilled hole.
