New Dutchie

Postby Harald.370 » Tue 18.06.2024, 15:58

Hello all,

I am Harald, Lotus Exige V6 owner from the Netherlands and board member of Lotus Club Holland. I am in the middle of a buying process of an Elan S2 from outside the Netherlands which would make it the 40th Elan M100 in the Netherlands and the 13th S2. Not that you can see all of them by the way; 12 do not have a valid MOT (that and 6 are not even insured!)

I look forward to sharing all my adventures with the new car, NOT the issues ;-)

As time passes by I will share some pictures. But not before the 1st week of July when the adventure starts ;-)

Hi Harald, welcome to LEC, look forward to seeing pictures of your S2. I would imagine 40 in the Netherlands would easily be double the amount in Scotland! :D

Thank you. Your custom rubber seal reputation goes well beyond this forum I can tell; it was one of the first things I found online whilst looking for potential issues with an M100

Welcome Aboard fellow Dutchie!

You know where to find me for anything M100 related :-)
Is the car from Belgium by any chance?

Take care

Correct; it is a Belgian car... Belgium and Italy seem to be the only EU countries with loads of M100s...

Welcome Harald!

I am curious to see the pics of your car. Two months ago I bought an Elan in Germany and imported it to the Netherlands, so if you have any questions, please ask.

This is Elan S2 127/800
I hope to have many great adventures with her, but now she is in need of some servicing, as her current cambelt is 17 years old!!

Hello Harald, welcome to the forum. Another Dutchie, fun, this looks like we should plan a Dutch or Be/NL meeting soon?

That purple looks good on the Elan. Wish you safe rides and lot of fun with your new toy !!

Welcome - Nice car!
That rear tyre looks like the original Michelin tread pattern.

Yes they are! rear tires have never been changed since 1995
They are on their way to the heavenly roads; new sneakers all around have been ordered for Dutch MOT acceptation
