Thanks for that, Matt - I'll have a proper look when I get the engine mount back in (I did it today, but forgot to put the rubber washers in first, so it will get sorted tomorrow) and get the trolley jack out of the way.

You can do it!

Please do show us some pictures of the battle scars on the back of your hands afterwards ;-)

Does Samco sell directly or do we have to buy through a distributor?

Chriso,

Bear in mind that whoever you order from, they are only really agents for Samco - they take your cash and process it all, but they are delivered directly from the factory.

Most places are the same price (due to this), but sometimes they will offer a discount or whatever to get the custom - same with the sets on ebay.

Very occasionally, someone will have a set in stock, but you won't get a choice of colour. It's always worth a bit of a Google of the part number you require (which you can find on the Samco website) and see what pops up.

Cheers Dave. I'll look for a supplier in the UK. Any thoughts on my fed spec radiator post ?

I organised a group buy for Samco hoses about 5-6 years ago. They came from Merlin Motorsport, who I’ve always found friendly and easy to deal with. I believe they will ship overseas, but I’ve no idea of costs, sorry.

Avoid BMC Parts UK like the plague. They seem to be a Classic Mini specialist who provide "second to none customer service". They showed a full M100 Samco cooling hose kit in stock for a reasonable price on their website, so I ordered it. I got a conformation of order, then nothing. So after 2 weeks I called to ask where my hoses were. They said they had to be ordered from Samco and would take 6 weeks! I pointed out what their website said. They said 'it was wrong'. After 8 weeks I called again, they took my number but never got back to me. So I dropped Samco an email, Samco said they had had no orders for a M100 kits from BMC Parts (or their parent company Mini Medics)! I asked my credit card company for a refund, which they did. Still no correspondence from BMC Parts - Fantastic customer service!!!!
