Hey folks,
As the title says I was in the middle of a drive and the engine suddenly stopped and won't restart.
Its been a couple days, so everything has cooled off and I still can't get it to start.
I did the paperclip test and elanscan (file attached) and both showed no error codes.
The starter works and the engine turns over, and if I pump the gas pedal it will catch combustion for a little bit, but will never get to an idle and if I stop pumping (or give it too much) the engine just stops. I can smell the rich exhaust gas after those attempts, hear the fuel pump at powerup, and the injectors click (and my fuel gauge says half tank).
This morning I replaced the whole CAS, because that was an easy place to start since I had a spare, but exact same symptoms persist.
I'm not the best at deciphering elanscan data, so I'm sharing here in hopes that one of you experts will be able to spot something that looks off. For the scan, I just had it sitting for a few seconds to make sure I was getting a good data read, then I slowly pushed down the gas pedal to verify the TPS was sending a signal (it matched what I was doing), and then I tried starting the car. I think I tried two times. The first time it caught for like half a second and the next time, nothing.
The actual conditions outside this morning at the time of the scan were around 27 degrees C, and around 1bar of pressure, and it had been sitting all night.
I'll keep sorting around doing physical checks on all the stuff, but if anyone spots anything in this scan in the meantime, I'd be very appreciative.
Thanks!!!!
