16" S2 correct tire size

Hey, I'm upgrading to 16 in S2 wheels on my 91 Fed. What is the std size , and what can I get away with without problems if I chose to go a little wider... So stoked to get this upgrade going! Also, any hot tips on tires? Aggressive street driving is my main focus, don't care too much about rain or snow. Thanks

The actual tyres stated are no longer available, but the sizes are. There will be as many tyre suggestions as there are tyres available!

I've always plumped for the Goodyear Eagle F1s

The tyre size is the same for the Oz & the BBS wheels in 16" diameter......

...... there is little point in me giving any recommendation as the tires available in USA will be different to those in the UK, Europe or ROW.

But - you are looking for 205/45r16. Wider tyres will fit on the rims, but if you go wider there is every chance that you will scrape the wheelarch liner on full lock. Even if it seems okay with the car sitting still, you may have an issue when cornering and the spring is compressing whilst on lock. It can happen with 205 tyres (tires) if the inflation doesn't match the sidewall flex at the time.

Thanks for all the good info! I'm gonna probably go with the Toyo Proxxes, It's all about the turns for me plus they look cool!

I'm sure you'll be more than happy with Toyo's. I have them on mine and they certainly seem to do a good job of keeping the car on the tarmac. However, my driving style probably isnt quite the same as your 'Aggressive street driving'
