Anyone who is currently looking for rear calliper stuff, I have just had an email from Rockauto with their latest offers (wholesaler closeout).....

Nugeon rear callipers for £28.62 each..... (not much of a saving over the usual list price, but they ARE in stock at the moment).

Rear calliper slider dust boots (like Jonathan wanted, and has bought)..... just 32p a set of 8, with 2 of the pad clips!

Various sets of rear pads.... different prices, but a 'good' set for under a fiver is a bargain

Not much of interest for the Impulse, except maybe an O2 sensor (Bosch) for £19.28........

To give you a clue, a pair of callipers, a set of slider boots (not needed if you are getting callipers, but at that price, worth getting for the future), a set of pads and an O2 sensor, delivered to UK (before the Trump Tariffs start to hit!) with the 5% discount will (hopefully) arrive next Tuesday for a total outlay of under £130.

I don't really need any of it, but as their inventory for our cars gets smaller every time I look, it makes sense to me to have (yet another) set in stock.

i already have spare sensors and a set of rear calipers

the bottom half of the order is what i would be buying. but postage wouldnt make those viable.

i guess its too late to latch to the package for delivery at CC
(pinky wont be happy, im already 10 or 20 in debt for the camping deposit)

Sorry Joao, I went on to the website to see if I could add to the order, but it was too late as the order was 'awaiting collection' at the warehouse.....

I could have put extra pads and rubbers on without a problem, but not anything too expensive as it would put it over the limit for paying duty (and then the handling fees on top). This was part of the reason I didn't try to organise a "mini group buy" as it bumps up the unit costs to such an extent that it isn't worth the saving on shipping (plus the inconvenience).

 I ordered some "spares" from RA on the 28/3 which they split into two packages.
One package go delivered on the 31/3, but the 2nd package has been waiting for customs clearance since 2/4
I have been in contact with Fed ex, and they informed me that everything is in order, it's just one of those things
and I would just have to wait :?

All the bits ready for assembly then to be shelved; sadly not needed + might be offered for sale :( (New RA pads not shown)

PeterB gave me a good tip :) - assemble with brake grease since lubing with dot4 risks hygroscoptic rusting if they aren't used straight away...
