Cooling Fans Direction

Should the radiator cooling fans on a Fed be set to pull or push?

I think they should be pulling from the fresh air in front of the car

Rad needs fresh cold air.
If fans are in front of rad, they pull air into fan and push it into rad. If they are behind the rad, they'll pull air through rad.
This applies to any car really.

I was pretty sure that fans that sit behind the radiator should be setup to pull fresh air through, but wanted some confirmation before I actually put them in.

general rule is pretty simple.

whichever way the air flows when the car is moving forwards is the direction the fans will be making the air flow.

the fans will never push air in the oposite direction of flow when the car is moving... for obvious reasons
