Removing headlamp reflectors from pods

With apologies if this is old news. I’ve searched but failed to find!
I’d like to remove the headlight reflectors from my SE Turbo. They work fine and I don’t doubt the car will pass its MoT later this month but the lights have a white residue inside the reflectors.
I’ve seen advice online for cleaning it off. Warm water, detergent, white vinegar, maybe some lead shot to swill it all around?!
But how do I get the reflectors out of the pods???
Any help welcomed, including links to the advice I failed to find and if you think this is a bad idea (it ain’t broke so leave it alone?)

Hi Paul...by reflectors..you mean the glass lens?..which usually is the bit of the light unit that has the milky white residue. I have removed my glass lens and swapped to other better units (better silver backing) by heating the unit in the
kitchen oven. This will soften the glue that holds the glass lens to the silver reflector bit; prise the glass off carefully and try not to damage the rim of the reflector (resin based I think). Once the glass is nicely cleaned..just glue back on; I used a rubber adhesive which copes with the heat from the headlight when it is on..and the lens can be taken off again (more oven) if you need to. Btw - whatever you do don't touch the silver of the reflector..v easily marked,..and mak sure you glue the glass lens back on in exactly the same position..soz to state the obvious.

Many thanks for the reply, Roy. Actually my question was a simpler one. How do I remove the reflector/lens from the popup light pod? Basically, the assembly that the light bulb clips into.
If I've understood advice elsewhere, the white reside on the back of the lens can be cleaned off without separating it from the reflector so that's what I'm hoping to attempt.
