It is basically a free-flowing filter - the screw thread is a standard size for a brass elbow, then add some silicone vacuum hose and a remote filter (to prevent crap getting into the sensor) and it will work fine.
I broke mine (well, 2 of them over the years!) and repaired them with a dab of superglue to hold the parts in the right place, and then used chemical metal to surround and support the 2 bits of the plastic elbow - still going strong 15 years on.
