Horn Button Upgrade

Postby Stevthom1 » Fri 25.07.2025, 11:01

Got fed up trying to fix the horn button on my Elan, and the continual beeping problem when you turned the wheel. So went for this option on the indicator stalk, simple push switch and a bit of wiring. Now feels like the car has machine guns !!

Would make a nice esprit 007 mod
I often accidentally activate the horn when hanging on during a nice turn. This would be a nice change, but I think its required that I have a horn "on the wheel"...oh wait, I forgot they changed the law here this year and it's wild west, put anything you want on the road, no inspections

Your in Texas.
That state is the definition of wild west.
The whole world would be disappointed if anything sensible would appear in news with the word "Texas" in the headline.

How's your pet Tiger doing?
Has your neighbour taught he's jaguar to use a M16 yet?
Did the guy up the street that doesn't have a flying licence finish off he's prototype moonshine powered drone to commute to work?

all those statements are 100% believable news if you prefix them with "Texas man"
Any other state name would be assumed to be comedy content.
