Cleaning out A/C / Heat Systems

My dad’s M100 has mostly been a garage dweller since ‘91, and it appears mice have been finding their way into the climate control system. The air coming out of the vents smells like mice, and the force of the air coming out is greatly reduced when the heat is on. Have cleaned out the motor under the passenger footwell many times, but the smell doesn’t go away. Would love assistance on locating the outside air inlet for the climate control system, as well as any tips on how to clean out the system.

remove passenger side wheelarch liner look towards the back up next to the vacum bottle. theres a sponge section that you can remove and try cleaning some stuff from there. difficult access. the only alternative i can think is removing the clam. which is rather excessive.

Have you checked that the A/C drain isn't blocked?
There is an A/C cleaner spray that you leave spraying in the footwell with the A/C on recirculate, that will make it smell better.
