Indicator Ticking Noise

I seem to have lost my indicator ticking noise (yeah, I know, sounds like a personal problem!). Indicators and hazard all working ok..but no noise. Does it come from the relay (the noise)??.. just a matter of replacing the relay...I'm assuming.

yes. the ticking noise is (or should be) the relays contats phisically touching and making the click.

if it works without the noise. you may have a digitally operated relay (also known as solid state). or something rather interesting doing on

Mine is and always has been very quiet. Easy to miss unless listening out for it specifically. I once drove Ian May's while he had it (with him in the car) on a local club drive out. After about 10 miles we stopped and the leader came back from his car to ask why we were driving with the hazards on. Neither of us had noticed ( ! ) and there was no ticking. Maybe it was an option not "ticked" ??

nope.

what i have is a buzzer added to the car that will remind me the side lights are on when the doors open.
this has saved me from a flat battery 3 times so far. because sometimes you just need to see the dash but dont need the pop up headlamps up.

If you want a louder tick from the indicators.

Pop the hazard switch out, splice a wire to the green red, spice another to the green white, connector them to a 4 or 5 pin relay to pins 85 & 86 respectively and the relay will click happily when the indicators are used, but not when the hazards are on.

Do you mean the lack of click noise?
As far as I know, if the tell tale lamps on the dash work, that’s ok for MOT.
So it works with the hazards too
You could use two relays (or a 12v buzzer) one foe for each side, connected
Green White and ground ( RHS ) and Green Red and ground (LHS)

Most LED flasher units are silent.

Ok didn’t see any anything about fast flashing in the posts ?
But yes flashers do have to flash between 60 - 120 time per minute.
Most electronic flashers are designed to flash very fast if there’s a bulb out to warn the driver something is up.
My mod is just about audible click
