Has anyone added a fan for the oil cooler? Seems like there is plenty of room to have a pull fan mounted on the back of the cooler. I was thinking of tapping into the wires that go to the radiator fans, so that they would all come on at the same time. For reference, in the summer here, if I'm stuck in traffic downtown, it could be like 45+ degrees at the asphalt.
This just seemed like a belt and suspenders thing for those situations (Car has had an overheat event in the past under previous owner. Don't know details, but can imagine sitting in traffic, running the AC, things getting pretty toasty down there).
Any thoughts/advice?

Remember the Elan's cooling system was developed and thoroughly tested in Death Valley. And worked successfully.
Whilst fitting a fan to the oil cooler may well help keep your car cooler, in theory it should not be necessary.
Might be better to thoroughly check and overhaul the standard system if you are having overheating issues.
