Let's start with the Elephant in the room, the car has done 302k miles.
It is a 1991 registered car with a no advisories MOT until March 2027.
I acquired it in 2019 from the leading Lotus specialist Gerald Turner of GST Performance who owned it as his personal car. It is believed to be one of, if not the, highest mileage Elan in the world.
Complete service history with 47 stamps in the owners manual, the last 30, from 2007, by GST. The bodywork shows its age/mileage with stone rash, a couple of scrapes on the bumpers and peeling paint lacquer but it is still reasonably presentable. The rear screen of the soft top is milky and could do with changing but I use the wing mirrors. It has the desirable S2 wheels which have recently been refurbished and are shod with good Michelin tyres.
A quick car that is mechanically in good condition with pretty much everything working as it should other than the passenger side door mirror. I have covered c25k miles in it including a 2000 mile European road trip to Budapest in late May/early June 2026.
It has been my daily driver and I'm only selling as I've got it passed the magic 300k miles and have too many other cars including another 3 Lotus.
The car is located in Berkshire and I'm looking for £4995
