Hi LEC,

I have recently purchased a pacific blue Lotus Elan SE, looking through and reading past threads, I believe the car is known on this community of elan enthusiasts. (I’m the new custodian of E14NTS) I believe the original owner was a gentlemen named Trevor Steven, hence the TS at the end of the plate.

I plan to improve the interior over time, trying to stay with the original stock feel, and invest in some mechanical improvements so the car is slightly better to drive at some stage, when the pennies are free to do so. I’m really pleased I now own an elan, as it’s been on the list of needs for a long time.

Driving the little car brings a smile to the face on every journey (although the wife isn’t a fan) I make and in time I think the penny will drop on these cars and they will raise in value but…… if they don’t I’m not fussed as that isn’t the reason for purchase and long may the smiles continue, in the warmer months of every year!

Hello all users.

Hello and welcome!

I remember the car from when Trevor owned it, but that was when I first got here, so 20 years ago! Since then it has changed hands (obviously!!) but was a really nice car when I knew it and never lacked for anything. The fact that you can post here is thanks to Trevor who built the original Lotuselancentral.com website, and incorporated this forum to replace the original 'notice board' type of page.
Good luck with the ongoing use of the car, and there are probably many threads/posts on here already which will help with any historic work done.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Thank you for correcting us :) trigger would then ask “ is Trevor his nickname “ :P

Thank you for the welcome, and sharing a little history on the owner, along with the site beginnings, there is plenty of info to plough through on here!
