1st ELAN experience!

Hello,<br>i've caught the bug to go for my first Elan finally (yeah) and wonder if someone could provide me with some useful tips on the following (i have no previous experience with driving or owning Lotuses-though i've always been a fan)<br><br>1>>>is there something like a top 10-20 list (or whatever no. you like) to check when viewing a car up for sale? (i.e. most frequent and/or expensive things that go wrong in an Elan-does anything!?)<br><br>2>>>is there anything like a price guide for LHD cars?<br><br>3>>>first...err suspect (to be checked coming week) is a 91se,  v.good condition, aqua blue, A/C, 35000KM (roughly 22000 miles) ??? Considering i'm still in the hunt for that elusive 1st Elan...i have a theoretical exercise for anyone that might have the info i'm seeking...  ??? (Great many thanx in advance)  My top pick would be an LHD S2 (instant odds 1:300  correct?) and then the colours of choice (no offense meant to owners of cars in other colours!)  would be :<br><br>1>>>Jet black<br>2>>>Azure blue<br>3>>>Lotus Racing Green<br>4>>>Silk red<br><br>What would my odds be now ?   i.e too thin a chance of getting the desired car?<br><br>o.k. i could put the final nail and state that i would rather have a low mileage car (just missed a 30000KM LRG in Italy...damn it)...therefore such a car might not be non-existent BUT i'm afraid rather hard to trace :-/<br><br>PS: to Costas...i'm afraid the provided mobile is either switched off or not answering (tried a few times!) hope the # above is correct though. sounds like a good plan for car and colors, Mario!  Agreed--all those colors look special on the Elan.
